The journey to this achievement was one filled with anticipation and hope. As co-founders, we submitted our Amber and Red wines to IWSC—one of the world’s most respected wine competitions—never imagining that both would return with gold medals. In fact, out of the four gold medals awarded to Armenian wines this year, two were earned by Moossah, a testament to the quality and craftsmanship of our wines.
A Victory for Armenian Winemaking
This victory isn’t just ours—it’s a triumph for the entire Armenian winemaking community. From the very beginning, Moossah’s mission has been clear: to contribute to the global recognition of Armenian wines. This achievement is a reflection of the collective hard work, passion, and dedication of Armenia’s winemakers and industry professionals.
Our gratitude extends to the Vine and Wine Foundation of Armenia, whose support and initiatives empower Armenian winemakers to shine on international platforms like IWSC 2025. We are also deeply thankful to our wine enthusiasts and ambassadors, whose love and trust in Moossah have been instrumental in our journey.

What Is IWSC and Why Does It Matter?
The International Wine & Spirit Competition (IWSC), established in 1969, is one of the world’s most renowned platforms for recognizing excellence in wines and spirits. The competition’s judging panel features prominent names in the wine industry, such as Dirceu Vianna Junior MW, the first South American Master of Wine; Sarah Abbott MW, a champion of emerging wine regions; and Ronan Sayburn MS, a leading sommelier with decades of expertise.
IWSC’s rigorous evaluation process involves blind tastings by these experts, who meticulously score wines on factors such as balance, complexity, and overall quality. Only the very best receive gold medals—a distinction that can propel a wine onto the global stage.
Over the years, IWSC gold medal winners have included industry-shaping wines. Winning gold at IWSC signifies a wine’s ability to stand shoulder to shoulder with global benchmarks, gaining recognition from both professionals and connoisseurs worldwide.
For Moossah Wines, achieving two gold medals at IWSC 2025 is a monumental milestone. It not only underscores the exceptional craftsmanship of their Amber and Red wines but also reinforces the potential of Armenian wines to shine among the best in the world.
A Celebration of Tradition and Innovation
Moossah is not just a wine brand—it’s a celebration of Armenian heritage and innovation. From the lush vineyards of Vayots Dzor and Aragatsotn to the bottles on tables, every sip of Moossah tells the story of a rich winemaking tradition blended with modern excellence.
